Clinical Services

While clinical psychologists have accredited post-graduate qualifications and training in the provision of clinical services to people with psychiatric difficulties, it is a common misconception that we only deal with mental health conditions.

Clinical psychologists can also help people improve their overall sense of well-being. In fact, most of us will experience major changes and challenges in life which can result in significant emotional upheaval. At these times it can be helpful to talk things over with a trained professional.

I will be glad to assist with a wide range of difficulties, including

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Low self-esteem

  • Emotional dysregulation

  • Adjustment/life transition issues

  • Loss/bereavement

  • Difficulties with identity, meaning, purpose

  • Languishing

  • Health behaviour change

  • Interpersonal/relationship concerns

  • Family problems

  • Trauma

Therapy may be short-, medium-, or longer-term, depending on the needs and circumstances of each person and on the nature and complexity of the presenting concern.
